I need your help.
Today, while I was at Mommy's computer, I found this article:
http://ireport.cnn.com/topics/739422?hpt=hp_c2
I want to make sure you read this, so I'm pasting it here: The obesity epidemic has struck the family dog and cat. Too many treats and not enough exercise have combined to make more than 50 percent of cats and dogs overweight or obese, according to the Association for Pet Obesity Prevention.
Experts are seeing more obese pets than ever before, due partly to increased awareness about the dangers. It’s a serious problem. Overweight and obese pets are at higher risk for diabetes, joint pain, high blood pressure and other weight-related diseases and injuries, experts say.
Pet owners, we want to hear from you. Do you have an overweight pet, or have you struggled with your cat or dog’s weight? Have you ever put your pet on a diet? Share your story, and any tips for other pet owners, along with a photo of your pet. If you have a weight-loss success story to share, we’d love to see before-and-after shots.
I'd like to call your attention to two images:
Now, when your silhouette begins to sag in the middle like that of a large boat, perhaps it's time to go on a diet. "Boat Butt" as I've renamed her (Winnie) is in DIRE need of a diet. I'm trying to get word to Mommy, but seriously - wouldn't you agree?
BoatButt has the most rancid breath ever. Mommy knows it, too. GarbageMouth can walk into a room and simply open her mouth and you can smell her presence. No being stealthy for that fat thing. Not to mention, she can't walk without taking big gasps of air. It's seriously gotta be hard work lugging around that many fat rolls. Plus, I've tried to tell Mommy before that she's ugly and I don't like her, but she doesn't listen to me.
I'm thinking of writing into CNN and talking about BoatButt. She DOES need to go on a diet and I would SURELY appreciate the increase in treats on my end, too. My beautiful coat needs them, anyway.
Well, for now...I'm signing off. BoatButt is staring at the gate taunting me since Daddy favors her and lets her stay out during the day. I'm gonna go find a way to get out, pee on the carpet and get back in here so Winnie will be to blame.
Love, hugs, and paws...
Abigail the Fierce.
