It's my BIRTHDAY!!!!

Four score and seven years ago….

Okay, maybe not, but in doggie years, I’m like 7! Today is my 1st birthday and I am SO excited! Mommy and Daddy went to buy me a special cupcake last night and Mommy showed it to me and stuck her finger in it and let me lick the icing! What I don’t get is why Mommy and Daddy left me today of all days! I mean, it IS my birthday after all!

I was SUPER excited when Daddy came home yesterday. He let me out of my room and I came barreling around the corner as always and THERE WAS MOMMY! She was BACK HOME! YAY!!!!! I jumped up in her arms and licked her and sneezed on her and licked on her and licked on her and licked on her. Then we went outside and she played with me and I brought her rocks. Then, I saw a frog and it made me so happy cause it BOUNCED! Ooooo...mommy doesn’t like it when I pounce after the frogs. She always wants me to go potty. Yesterday, Mommy spent ALL evening with me! She sat down on the couch and petted me and loved me and fed me little pieces of chicken and gave me little snippets of cheese. Oh, how I love it when Mommy spends time with me.

I had an exhausting day with all that playing. Mommy was tossing the ducky around and she even played with the poodle with me. I was so excited to have her home! She pet my head and rubbed my ears and I love that so much! Daddy was upstairs on his computer – but I ran upstairs to greet him too. Then Mommy came upstairs and laid down on the big bed in the guest bedroom and we played and I barked and jumped all over her. Daddy kept asking, “Are you barking?” Oh boy, was I ever! I was SO excited to be playing!

Daddy finally figured out that me pawing at his legs when he’s on the computer means I have to go potty. He’s trained Mommy too cause now she knows, but she’s not been on the computer since she got back home. I’m glad because I feel left out when she is on that thing all day.

Last night, I found something yummie and smelly like my Mommy in my room. I pulled it off the handle on the bathtub and ripped it to shreds. Mommy was NOT happy with me and was worried I swallowed some. I forgot it I did or not, but Mommy’s plastic loofah spongey things taste like her arms and I liked to eat it! It just kept touching my nose and I tore it into MILLIONS of pieces.

OO OOO!!! Mommy EVEN put chicken in with my wet food last night. I made sure Daddy didn’t see and I ate it ALL up!

I can’t wait until tonight! I get my cupcake after I eat my doggie food and Mommy is gonna brush me and make me look alllllllll pretty! I sure wish Uncle Homer and Aunt Daisy and Aunt Lindy could come over and see my birthday party! I’ll have to get Mommy and Daddy to take pictures of me!
