The pond...

Occasionally, these black flappy things come into MY backyard and sit on my grass. They annoy me – so I chase them. They have an advantage though. They can fly. I’m not sure why I can’t fly yet – my little puppy paws aren’t quite that advanced, but I sure worked on it yesterday.

Yesterday, Mommy and Daddy came home and made dinner. Daddy brought Mommy a little piece of hot dog for me and told her to feed me. I love this part of the day. Daddy likes to fuss a lot about me not eating people food, but he loves me enough to spoil me every now and then. I love my Daddy. So, after that Mommy and Daddy took me for a walk. It was a LONG walk and I was DOG tired! (Get it, dog tired??? *manta ray smile*)

Anyway…then Mommy and Daddy and me walked ALL the way back home and Daddy gave me some ice. Mommy went to change into shorts and then I got to take CAR RIDE! Oh BOY, I DO LOVE car rides! I jumped right up in the car and was SO happy to be in the car. Well, we went up to a big black patch and Mommy let me out. She put my leash on and I walked right up to the area where the black/green patch was. Soon enough I found out what this stuff was. There was one of those black flappy things and I chased it and pounced and found out that black/green stuff is WATER! OMG. I jumped right in that water after that bird and soon after I felt this YANKING as Mommy yanked me out of the water on my leash. Oh, that DANG BIRD! Man, I was WET after that!

I walked around the pond after that and found this BIG white bird and he came up to me. I jumped in after him when he got closer, but Mommy yanked me out again. He must not like me because he sounded like a cat and hissed at me. He sure looked big though! Much bigger than me!

I didn’t like my evening after that. Mommy drug me around the pond and wouldn’t let me near the birdies in the water. Then, we went home and I was FORCED to take a bath. Sigh. I just GOT in the water. Mommy’s dumb. She always likes me clean. I need to get more dirty and show her how cute I am when I’m brown!

Mommy and Daddy keep talking about a sister. What’s a sister for me? I hope they don’t expect me to share my toys with anyone. Those are MINE. I’m not sharing my toys OR my food OR my bones OR my BED ORRRRR my Mommy and Daddy. I’m the princess of the house. I’m not sharing.
